Enclosed are the reported incident counts from various colleges across the US, along with the number of statistically significantly elevated safety categories of concern identified as Stat Sig Red Flags

While this dataset is an incomplete representation of everything that happens at college, colleges are mandated to submit this information as part of their Title IV funding. This is the most complete dataset of reported safety incidents for college students.

Examining data for all colleges collectively enables the identification of institutions with the most concerning safety records. Colleges displaying more than 5 Stat Sig Red Flags, representing approximately 10% of colleges, warrant thorough inquiry into student safety. Those with 3 or more flags, constituting about 20% of colleges, should prompt questioning regarding personal fit. Please use discretion and notify us of any recommended updates.
